Exploding batteries spark deadly South Korea factory fireplace | BBC News

A gigantic factory fireplace that started after lots of lithium batteries exploded has killed on the least 22 other americans in South Korea.

The blaze broke out on Monday morning on the Aricell plant in Hwaseong metropolis, about 45km (28 miles) south of the capital Seoul.

Native television pictures confirmed comely smoke clouds and microscopic explosions going off as firefighters sought to construct out the fireplace. A fraction of the roof had collapsed.

South Korea is a leading producer of lithium batteries, which will doubtless be dilapidated in lots of devices from electric vehicles to laptops.
