A girl in her 50s and a person in his 30s had been killed as the remnants of Typhoon Ophelia hit the British Isles.
As hurricane-drive gusts battered the Republic of Eire, the girl died when a tree fell on her vehicle.
The person died in a chainsaw accident in Co Tipperary while trying to make a choice a tree downed by the storm.
